I used this memory kit to upgrade my 2008 HP Touchsmart IQ505. The computer came with 4 GB RAM which just wasn't enough for Win7 anymore. I absolutely love this computer and wanted to get more life out of it. The memory is a bit pricey and I bought the 8GB kit not knowing if it would work for this machine since both HP and the mobo manufacturer (Pegatron) have 4GB listed as the MAX memory supported. A-TECH has this kit with the IQ505 listed as supported, so took a chance and bought it. I know the price is high because the supply/demand for DDR2 just isn't what it used to be.When I put the memory in, it was like night and day on the performance of the computer. I also upgraded the processor to a T9500 SLAYX Penryn 800MHz Core 2 Duo (from the T5850 667MHz Merom chip) a few days after that and now know I'll be able to keep this machine around for a few more years. The only thing this is lacking right now is a SSD drive and I'll wait for the prices to come down on the 2TB drives to replace the one I already have in there (replaced the 500GB drive several years ago).I'll definitely purchase from A-TECH again.
